THE EXPERIENCE

What can I expect from The Empire Strips Back? After a sell-out tour, The Empire Strips Back is arriving at The Colonial Theatre, The classic Star Wars characters are dropped into the world of burlesque. Comedy and striptease, loving detail and hilarious parody… Let us deliver you to the dark side.
Where is the experience located? Join us at The Colonial Theatre. An entertainment facility serving the Sacramento region. The atmosphere here is like no other; much of this theatre has been preserved to its original charm, providing some of the best entertainment showcases since the early 1940's.
Is there parking available? There is street parking available along several streets near the Theatre. Please remember to pay attention to any signage within the neighborhood.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue? The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.
At what time are doors opened to the theater? Lobby doors generally open one hour prior to showtime, and the theatre doors open a half hour before.
How long does the experience last? 2 hours total, including a 15 minute intermission at around the 1 hour mark.
Will there be strobe lights? Yes, strobe effects are used.
Can I take photos or record the experience? No photos and videos are not allowed during the performance.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition? This is a seated theatrical experience.
Will restrooms be available on site? Absolutely, guests will have access to indoor, accessible restrooms.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase? We will have drinks available. Otherwise for a more filling option, we recommend having a meal at one of the restaurants along Stockton Ave!

Do I need to wear a mask? No, masks are not required. However, the experience will follow all requirements of city authorities, and mask requirements may change.
What happens if I arrive late? Latecomers will be admitted to the venue upon arrival.
Is there an age requirement? This show is for those 18+ years of age.
