What can I expect from The Empire Strips Back?
After a sell-out tour, The Empire Strips Back arrives for a limited run. The classic Star Wars characters are dropped into the world of burlesque. Comedy and striptease, loving detail and hilarious parody… Let us deliver you to the dark side.
Where is the experience located?
The event will take place at the Herberger Theater, Center Stage located at 222 East Monroe Street , Phoenix, Arizona 85004.
Is there parking available?
The Herberger Theater is located in Downtown Phoenix, adjacent to the Phoenix Convention Center and St. Mary’s Basilica.
Located at 160 E. Monroe St., the Chase Tower Parking Garage is directly across 2nd Street from the Herberger Theater. Usual Rates: $4 per 30 minutes - $28 maximum cost ($36 for lost entry tickets). These rates can vary on popular event nights in downtown Phoenix. The Herberger Theater Center does not currently validate parking for the Chase Tower Parking Garage.

Ride Sharing (Uber/Lyft) Ideal Drop Off Location - Guests being dropped off by a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft can let the driver know to drop them off on the south side of the Herberger Theater on Monroe St. in the passenger loading area directly in front of the theater.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.
How long does the experience last?
2 hours including intermission.
Will there be strobe lights?
Yes, strobe effects are used.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
No photos and videos are not allowed during the performance.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience?
This is a seated theatrical experience.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Yes, there are restrooms at the venue.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
The Herberger Theater Center is excited to welcome our guests to enjoy unique, event-inspired, and handpicked beverages, snacks, and offerings from our in-house experience, The Spotlight Bar! These concessions are available for sale through the end of intermission for most performances.
With the Spotlight Bar we plan to elevate your experience through an exciting menu and extraordinary service which will complement the performances by our amazing Resident Companies and other talented performing companies that grace our stages. Do I need to wear a mask?
No, masks are not required. However, the experience will follow all requirements of city authorities, and mask requirements may change.
What happens if I arrive late?
Latecomers will be admitted to the venue upon arrival.
Is there an age requirement?
This show is for those 18+ years of age.
Is the venue ADA compliant?
The Herberger Theater Center strives to be accessible to all patrons and offers services to ensure that everyone can enjoy our facilities.
All of our stages are equipped with wheelchair accessible and assisted seating. For more details about our accessible seating and to ensure that you have an accessible seat, please speak directly with our box office for help in booking.
Assisted listening devices are available at every performance. Please find a Herberger Theater Usher or Patron Services Manager before the performance to get set up with a device. Many performing companies offer ASL interpretations and/or audio description of their shows. Any performances that offer this will be noted on the performance page.
Theater Accessibility Features
Ramps provide easy access to theater seating. Accessible seating is available in all price ranges. Infrared hearing devices provide audio amplification. Sensory Friendly Kits. Audio description and Braille or large print programs are available for many shows. Arizona Theatre Company offers on-stage tactile tours at audio described performances. Service dogs are welcome. The Herberger Theater provides ushers trained in American Sign Language at scheduled ASL performances.
