What can I expect from The Empire Strips Back?
After a sell-out tour, The Empire Strips Back arrives for a limited run. The classic Star Wars characters are dropped into the world of burlesque. Comedy and striptease, loving detail and hilarious parody… Let us deliver you to the dark side.
Where is the experience located?
The Suzanne Roberts Theatre is located at 480 South Broad Street, Philadelphia PA 19146. The main entrance is located at the corner of Broad Street and Lombard Street.
Is there parking available?
Besides the numerous garages and open lots in Center City, there is a 24-hour paid garage attached to the Symphony House Condominiums next door, as well as an underground garage at the Kimmel Center on Broad and Spruce, and the Avenue of the Arts Garage at 15th and Spruce.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.
At what time are doors opened to the theater?
Lobby doors open one hour prior to curtain, and the theatre doors open a half hour before.
How long does the experience last?
2 hours total, including a 15 minute intermission at around the 45 minute mark.
Will there be strobe lights?
Yes, strobe effects are used.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
No photos and videos are not allowed during the performance.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
This is a seated theatrical experience.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Yes, there are restrooms at the venue.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes, we will have fresh popcorn and other snacks, as well as alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. For a more filling meal, check out the many amazing restaurants that Chinatown has to offer before joining us at the theater.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
We are a non-smoking production. We request your cooperation in respecting this policy across all venues to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
Is there a Lost & Found?
If you happen to lose any belongings during our event, please send us a detailed description of the item, along with the date and time you noticed it missing. Don’t forget to include your contact information. You can reach us at info@theempirestripsback.com.
Is there a coat check available?
While we do not have a designated area for coats, guests are welcome to keep their coats with them. Please be mindful of the comfort and space of others around you.
ACCESS
Do I need to wear a mask?
No, masks are not required. However, the experience will follow all requirements of city authorities, and mask requirements may change.
What happens if I arrive late?
Latecomers will be admitted to the venue upon arrival.
Is there an age requirement?
This show is for those 18+ years of age.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the main entrance at Broad Street and Lombard Street have an automatic door, and the path from the sidewalk to the theatre is all one level. There are also four ADA seats on either side of the orchestra section
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Service animals are welcome at our event. Please note, the production involves loud noises, confined spaces, and haze which may affect them. We recommend ADA individuals to use our ADA/PMR seating for extra space and comfort for the service animal.
