What can I expect from The Empire Strips Back?

After a sell-out tour, The Empire Strips Back arrives for a limited run. The classic Star Wars characters are dropped into the world of burlesque. Comedy and striptease, loving detail and hilarious parody… Let us deliver you to the dark side.

Where is the experience located?

The event will take place at The Orpheum Theatre - Address: 126 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?

The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.

How long does the show last?

90 minutes with no intermission.

Will there be strobe lights?

Yes, strobe effects are used.

Can I take photos or record the experience?

No photos and videos are not allowed during the performance.

Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?

This is a seated theatrical experience.

Will restrooms be available on site?

Yes, there are restrooms upstairs at the venue on the 2nd level.

Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?

There is no food or beverage in the theater. No concessions except for water.

Can I bring service animals?

Service animals are permitted in the theater. Emotional support animals, comfort animals and therapy dogs are not service animals as defined by the 2010 ADA Guidelines. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained. If a service animal interferes with other guests, corrective action may include re-arranging seating or removal of the service animal from the theater.

Do I need to wear a mask?

No, masks are not required. However, the experience will follow all requirements of city authorities, and mask requirements may change.

What happens if I arrive late?

Latecomers will be admitted to the venue upon arrival.

Is there an age requirement?

This show is for those 18+ years of age.

Is the venue ADA compliant?

Given the age and design of the theatre, it is not wheelchair accessible. While the theater has a space for a wheelchair and an available portable ramp, the ramp’s slope makes it difficult for a patron to maneuver up or down and its use is not recommended. Those wishing to use the portable ramp will require significant assistance from a companion, which for safety and other reasons we cannot provide.

Are wheelchairs available to rent?

We do not have wheelchairs available for rental. You may choose to remain in your wheelchair or transfer to a venue-provided chair. If you would like a chair, please notify a staff member in your area and we will be glad to store your wheelchair near your row.

Is there parking available?

The Orpheum Theater does not have designated parking.
